The International Chiropractors Association (ICA) has responded to a malicious and damaging attack on chiropractic recently published by Forbes magazine on-line, through its legal counsel, Swankin & Turner, a long established and much respected Washington, DC law firm.  “This recent outrageous and prejudicial attack on the chiropractic profession requires an exceptional response,” said ICA President Dr. Michael S. McLean. “Attacks on our profession from critics and competitors are commonplace and predictable but this recent piece, titled “New Medicare Data Reveal Startling $496 Million Wasted on Chiropractors” and written by Steven Salzberg, is so outrageously misleading and hurtful that we feel all of our legal options and protections must be explored.”

Do Not Wait for Your Hours to be Entered into C.E. Broker

Pay and Renew Your License Today! Do Not Wait for Your Hours to be Entered into C.E. Broker

Did you know you can renew and pay for your license today and not wait for all your C.E. hours to be in C.E. Broker by March 31st, 2014?

Chiropractors in Florida have 2 options this time around regarding renewal. THIS is called the “Optional Reporting Cycle”. DCs can self-report the course into their CE Broker account so that they show “complete” with the state, pay and renew. Or…Chiropractors in Florida can go ahead today, pay and renew without the hours being in C.E. Broker, called “incomplete” and once the certifying C.E. College for the convention (Sherman) reports the hours within their legal right of 90 days, your license will be complete. Doctors…if you have met all your C.E. requirements, please, pay and renew your license today. Do not wait for Sherman College to enter your hours by March 31st, 2014.

To pay and renew today where your hours are still not in C.E. Broker also known as “incomplete”, simply go to www.FLHealthsource.com website and the website will then provide you with an option, “do you still want to proceed” even though your hours are not in C.E. Broker yet. Thus, you will be provided an option to “renew as incomplete”. Click that link to proceed forward and renew your license. Done!

Summary: Today, you can proceed online to pay and renew your license with an incomplete status even though your hours are not yet in C.E. Broker by March 31, 2014.

This is the only time you will be allowed to do this. In the next biennium the rules will be different. The message on the website screen will say something like "you have chosen to renew your license with an incomplete status and do you still want to proceed?” The answer is YES! Within 90 days your C.E. hours from the certifying C.E. College will have your hours in C.E. Broker. Only during this biennium cycle that ends March 31, 2014 can you do this.

Post-convention you can self-report or let Sherman College do it for you within 90 days, but either way, pay and renew your license today. The Department of Health and CE Broker suggest that doctors at the very least wait until they at least do all there hours before you pay and renew because you are legally attesting you have completed their hours.
