    Quick Glance Regarding Florida C.E.

    Current Florida Chiropractic License Biennium: April 1, 2016 and ends March 31, 2018

    Current Florida license renewal is every 2 years

    The Florida Board of Chiropractic requires 40 in-person hours of C.E. and no online C.E. hours

    Documentation & Coding – 6 hours/biennium

    Medical Errors – 2 hours per biennium

    Ethics – 2 hours per biennium

    Florida Laws & Rules – 2 hours per biennium

    Risk Management – 1 hour per biennium

    IMPORTANT for Florida Chiropractors certified in Acupuncture:

    You are required the following specific courses:

    Acupuncture Risk Management – 2 hrs. per biennium

    Acupuncture Technique – 2 hrs. per biennium

    First Year Florida DCs:

    HIV/AIDS – For first year Florida DCs only and needed to be completed only one time. 3 hours (prior to first biennium renewal)

    First Year Florida DCs are NOT required to obtain Florida Laws & Rules or Risk Management.

    The Florida Chiropractic Society has 3 upcoming C.E. options before the end of the Florida Chiropractic licensure biennium on March 31, 2016:

    1. Miami - January 16-17, 2016 at University of Miami

    2. Ft. Walton Beach - February 19-20, 2016 at Emerald Coast Convention Center

    3. Ft. Lauderdale - March 5-6, 2016 at Nova Southeastern University

    Each convention is 20 C.E. hours, including all 13 Florida required C.E. hours. There are 2 ways to pre-register and save:

    If you need to begin earning or have to finish earning your Florida 40 C.E. hours in this biennium, we suggest you don't wait until March 2016. Two choices: Palm Beach, August 15-16, 2015 and/ or St. Pete, November 14-15, 2015. Both are 20 C.E. hours, including all 13 Fl. required hours and both are Saturday & Sunday.
